Jeannine Fox
also known as Mimi, is the proud grandmother of Laney and Lexi. Mimi knows how important it is to keep her grandchildren engaged with fun activities. But Mimi also has a passion for teaching her little ones about responsibility.

As a Certified Financial Planner, Jeannine has heard countless horror stories over the years from people who have called asking for her help. She's realized that people who learned at a very early age about saving money just seemed to have a much more successful life than those who never were taught about money.

It's shocking to her how many people can't even balance a checkbook and have never had a savings account!

Through her book, Feeding Penny Pig, Jeannine teaches children about the value of saving their money at a young age. Her hope is to instill children with the skills that will help them to avoid the common financial pitfalls later in life. Mimi's grandchildren love their "Penny Pigs" and feed them regularly with coins that they earn from helping their Mom and Dad.

When Jeannine isn't babysitting her granddaughters, she is helping her clients at her financial planning practice in Houston, Texas. She is a CPA, a Certified Financial Planner, and has an MBA in Finance. She taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston in the Certified Financial Planner program. Most importantly though, she taught her children, Kris and Amanda, about money at a very early age through fun activities that they still remember today.

While Jeannine has had many different jobs in her life, her favorite of all time is her job as Mimi. Parents have so many responsibilities these days. Many have jobs outside the home and still have the responsibilities for raising their children, shopping, housekeeping, taking care of the pets, and driving kids to dance lessons and soccer practice. It's no wonder that there is less time for parents to sit down with children today than in the past.

Now, more than ever, grandparents are needed to care for and instill important values to grandchildren. The books, games, and resources on this website are meant to do this. . . in a fun way!
